Intelligent Mapping has created a device, the "PLUM", that is pulled through underground conduit one time and once retrieved, it provides an inches-accurate, survey grade XYZ profile, bend radius analysis, 3D map & all files needed for CAD & GIS ingestion. Compared to existing methods of data collection, it is 5X more efficient (GPR, sonding, tracer wire etc)…and much more accurate. The process is simple, collect GPS endpoints on the A & Z side of the duct, pull the device and the profile is created. Our device & software populate the space between these endpoints by utilizing IMU technology. That profile can then be accessed anywhere via the desktop app to complete as-builts in real time. Think of our device as a “Smart Mandrel” as it will also proof the duct. File outputs are CSV, KML, GeoJSON, SHP, WKT, WKB & PDF.
